There are tests, and then there's THIS test.

The American YouTube channel Outdoor Empire last year put 54 passive coolers head-to-head in a single experiment. Each box was filled with ice at the beginning. A simple rule: the box in which the ice had completely melted was eliminated. Set up in the garden, outdoors, no electricity, no aids, same conditions for everyone.

The QOOL Box eco+ was the last box with ice still in it. On day 10.

What makes this test special

54 coolers simultaneously, including established American brands like YETI, Pelican, RTIC, and many more. The Outdoor Empire channel is known for independent practical tests without manufacturer influence. No lab, no ideal climate. The boxes stood outside while a heatwave swept across Idaho.

And the QOOL Box eco+ is black.

Anyone who knows how sunlight affects dark surfaces understands why this is relevant. A black box absorbs more heat than a light one. So it had a natural disadvantage compared to almost all its competitors. Nevertheless, it kept the ice significantly longer than any other box in the field.

What the ice test really proves

The QOOL Box is not actually just for ice cubes.

Our system works with Temperature Elements made of phase-change material. These are frozen, placed in the box, and then maintain a defined temperature range stably for up to 10 days, without electricity, without refilling, without meltwater. This is the actual application.

However, the ice cube test by Outdoor Empire clearly shows what makes QOOL so special: our unique technology with vacuum insulation panels. And the result is convincing.

Ideal refrigerator without electricity

It's worked perfectly; everything stayed at the desired temperature for over four days. Most importantly, it no longer puts a strain on the car battery. Once, after a long trip on a Baltic Sea ferry, our previous combustion engine car wouldn't start because of the compressor refrigerator, and we needed a jump start. The Qool is truly ideal for an electric car. I highly recommend purchasing the Ruuvi temperature gauge as well. A tremendous development both in terms of energy and ecology. Not cheap, but worth every cent.

Absolutely great product that meets all expectations.

Last week, at temperatures over 38 degrees Celsius, the box kept its contents cool for seven days. It's also worth mentioning that the box was in our motorhome, which, in the heat, had an internal temperature of over 42 degrees Celsius at times. Great product.
